I’ve always dreamed of a life that slows down from the daily rush. Living in a bustling Polish city, where noise and fast-paced routines are the norm, I’ve felt the need to pause, relax, and truly enjoy life. That’s why I’m excited about the Sail Around The World Project—a future venture aimed at saving enough funds to purchase a sturdy, steel sail yacht and set off on an epic circumnavigation.
Sail Around The World Project
The idea is simple yet profound: find a resilient sail yacht, ideally between 11 and 15 meters long, capable of withstanding both warm and cold waters. We’re envisioning a vessel that’s not only a home for extended living on board but also a trusty companion on long, adventurous journeys. While the exact model is still up in the air, we’re leaning towards a vintage yacht from the 1960s to 1980s—a project that allows us to purchase it at a good price, renovate it swiftly, and then hit the open seas.
Financially, our plan involves earmarking up to 30,000 euros for buying the yacht, with an additional 10,000 to 15,000 euros set aside for renovations and upgrades. Of course, we’ll also need to save extra funds to cover life on board. Although the total cost of the project is still uncertain, the vision remains clear: to create a space of freedom and adventure, away from the daily grind.
This project is a personal journey towards reclaiming a simpler, more fulfilling way of living. I look forward to sharing every step of this exciting adventure with you all, from the early savings to the final sail across the world.
